Kathryn Willa Rose is a self-taught photographer specializing in sports, candid photos, and unique studio portraits. Her goal is to capture people as their most genuine selves, whether through clever timing and angles during candid shoots, or meticulous lighting and posing in the studio. Kathryn is currently an award-winning competing member in the beginner category of the Louisiana Photographic Society, and has also claimed multiple awards on the photo sharing platform ViewBug. Kathryn is also an experienced filmmaker and well-known in the Louisiana film community as a sound mixer and actress. In her free time, Kathryn can be found studying and practicing new styles of photography, hanging out with friends, spending time with her dog Teddy, antagonizing her older brother, and dancing.
Kathryn shoots on the Sony Alpha 7R and edits in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom.
